It is not a heritage estate or a garden; it is a well-run club that can seat 250 at round tables in one room and 600 across two. Setting & Style

Weddings take the Gardner Lounge or the Phillips Lounge, both with full bar facilities and dual projector screens, and the two open into one another for larger receptions. Each has its own deck — a sunken lounge with low seating, Bluetooth audio and a view over Browne Park Stadium — which can be hired with or without a bar. The Paddock and The Alfresco are separate outdoor spaces for pre-drinks or a more casual gathering.

Ideal For

Large Central Queensland weddings, and couples who want the numbers to work without surprises. If your guest list runs past 150 this is one of very few rooms in Rockhampton that will take it. It also suits anyone who wants the whole cost visible before enquiring — room hire, every menu item and the cancellation terms are all in the public package.

The Need-to-Knows

Wedding room hire is $800 for the Gardner Lounge and $700 for the Phillips, with catering on top from $35 a head for a main. There is a $300 refundable security deposit and a minimum of 20 guests for catering. No BYO food or drink — everything must be bought from the club. Your details sheet is due six weeks before a wedding, and a 20% surcharge applies if it is late. Cancellation terms are firm: inside 90 days you pay half the catering, inside 30 days all of it, and room hire is not refunded either way. Smoke machines, candles and sparklers are banned because they trigger the fire alarms.

Standout Feature

The decks. Both wedding rooms open onto a private deck overlooking the stadium, hireable from $400 with a bar for $600 — which gives a reception somewhere to spill outdoors without leaving the venue. In a city where most large rooms are entirely internal, that is the thing that makes this one feel less like a function room.
