Frenchville Sports Club is a large, recently rebuilt community club on Clifton Street in North Rockhampton. It calls itself “one of Rockhampton’s leading function and event venues”, and unusually for a club it publishes every room with a seated and a standing number — six spaces, from a twelve-seat private dining room to a 200-capacity function room.

Setting & Style

The rooms are new and deliberately styled rather than functional-beige. The venue’s own photographs show the Atrium dressed for a gala with round tables under hanging green installations, the Acacia and Banksia rooms as clean modern function spaces with their own service bars, and a Pre-Function Area strung with greenery for arrival drinks. Privado is a twelve-seat private dining room with hand-painted walls.

Ideal For

Rockhampton weddings that want a modern room rather than a marquee, at any size from twelve to two hundred. The club runs a free courtesy bus Tuesday to Saturday and parking is complimentary, which matters for a guest list drawn from across the region.
