Beach Road Winery & Restaurant
About
Overview & Vibe
Beach Road is a family-owned winery, cellar door, restaurant and function centre in the middle of McLaren Vale, looking over the vineyards to the Willunga foothills. It is minutes from the township and about forty-five from the Adelaide CBD, and it runs weddings as a full-service operation — catering, bar, staff and coordination all in house.
Setting & Style
Both indoor and outdoor ceremony options, then a reception on the wine deck under festoon lights or inside with vineyard views. The food leans to the winery's own character: freshly made pizzas, grazing tables and a gelati bar for a cocktail wedding, or two mains and sides for a seated one, with Beach Road wines and imported gins behind the bar.
Ideal For
Couples who want a McLaren Vale winery wedding without assembling it from parts — and who are choosing between a relaxed pizza-and-cocktails format and a formal sit-down.
The Need-to-Knows
- 20 to 140 guests, depending on the package. Cocktail-style goes to 140; a seated reception runs 50–85; micro weddings cap at 40.
- Off-peak is half price. The venue's published structure puts venue hire at 50% off from May to September, and midweek weddings carry no hire fee at all — just a minimum spend.
- The peak window, 15 December to 15 January, is price-on-application.
- Venue hire includes a dedicated wedding coordinator, ceremony setup with wooden chairs, signing and gift tables, all tables, chairs, tableware and glassware, setup and pack-down, two hours of supplier access before the ceremony, and food and beverage staff — plus a complimentary food and wine experience for two and “winery VIP status for life”.
- Linen, napkins, a champagne wall, lawn games and a wishing well are extras, priced on application.
- Drinks on consumption are only available May to September or midweek — at other times a beverage package is required.
- All published prices have lapsed. The venue's brochure states its packages were valid December 2024 to June 2026, and that window closed. Treat every figure as indicative and confirm directly.
Standout Feature
A wine deck under festoon lights over the McLaren Vale vineyards, with the winery's own pizzas as the wedding menu.
