Serafino sits on Kangarilla Road at McLaren Vale, a family-owned estate that runs a winery, a Chef Hat restaurant, a cellar door and its own accommodation on the one property. It is the region’s most decorated wedding venue — the site carries eleven separate industry awards — and it has the infrastructure to match: everything from the ceremony to the last guest’s bed happens without anyone leaving the estate.

Setting & Style

Ceremonies are held beneath 200-year-old gum trees beside Lake McLaren, the venue’s signature setting, floodlit after dark. Receptions run in the Serafino Room or The Courtyard, the latter a barrel-lined space under a high arched glass ceiling. Vines, ancient gums and rolling hills frame the rest.

Receptions cater up to 220 guests. The estate’s wider event spaces run from 10 to 300, but 220 is the figure the venue publishes for weddings specifically.
Nothing is priced. Wedding packages are described as “thoughtfully designed” but no per-head figure, hire fee or minimum spend is published. Enquiry is by form or through the dedicated Wedding & Events Coordinator.
Accommodation is on site and is part of the pitch — get ready in the rooms, stay the night before and after, no transport to arrange. It is booked through a separate reservations line.
Catering is the on-site Chef Hat restaurant, paired with the estate’s own wines. Sit-down, cocktail and lighter menus are offered.
The cellar door trades Monday to Sunday 10am–4:30pm and the restaurant Thursday to Saturday evenings, so a wedding runs alongside a working estate unless otherwise arranged.
The venue also sells a wedding proposal package and a helicopter-and-stay experience — unusual, and worth knowing if the proposal has not happened yet.

No menu prices for weddings are published.
