Wedding Florists · Great Ocean Road / Lorne, Victoria
Joycelyn’s studio on the Surf Coast at Anglesea, delivering along the Great Ocean Road from Torquay through to Lorne. She works as a bespoke floral designer and stylist rather than a shopfront, and the writing throughout is about collaboration - flowers as a way to say something the couple means.
Australian natives lead the work: proteas, banksias, kangaroo paw, waratah and leucadendron run through the portfolio alongside garden roses and foliage. Botanicals are seasonal and sourced as locally as possible, and the design follows what the market and the coast are giving.
Couples marrying along the Great Ocean Road who want native, coastal flowers rather than imported classics, and who would rather be guided than handed a catalogue. Bouquets, flower crowns, boutonnieres, floral installations and ceremony centrepieces are all made to order, at any location.
There is no shopfront and no published price list. The enquiry asks for three things up front: an outline of the florals being considered, the anticipated budget, and the date. Joycelyn frames the bridal bouquet as the foundation everything else is built from.
A refusal to prescribe. In her own words there are no rules about what a couple does or does not need, and the conversation starts from what they actually want rather than from a package. Couples writing back describe her connecting the flowers to the native flora and the sea.
