A luxury farm stay and garden estate between Walpole and Denmark, where the forest meets the Southern Ocean. Five acres of made gardens — on land that was “once a sandy paddock” — run down to views over the Walpole Wilderness and the Irwin Inlet, with hand-reared alpacas and dorper sheep grazing the paddock beyond.

Setting & Style

The gardens are the venue. They have featured in the Open Garden Australia programme and are laid out as rooms: the Secret Garden behind a wall of star jasmine, a formal European Potager of hedged herb and vegetable beds, a heritage “fruit salad” orchard, and a birch grove with a giant chess set. Ceremonies go under dappled avenues, formal hedging and floral archways; the reception goes on a manicured lawn set for a marquee, with wisteria trees for shade.

Ideal For

Couples who want the whole estate to themselves for a small country wedding, with the wedding party sleeping on site and a garden rather than a function room doing the work.

The Need-to-Knows

There is no curfew. The venue says so outright: “With no curfew on a Tree-Elle Retreat reception, you and your guests can dance the night away.” Rare, and worth confirming in writing.
No wedding capacity is published. The 26 figure on the site is how many people the four houses sleep, not how many the lawn holds.
No wedding pricing is published — only nightly accommodation rates, from $370 per night for four guests at the Barnhouse.
Catering is not provided. The houses are self-contained with full kitchens, gas barbecues and breakfast supplies; nothing on the site offers a wedding menu.
It is genuinely remote. An hour west of Albany, past the Valley of the Giants, and the venue warns that “phone reception is limited in south west WA.”
Farm animals are part of the offer — alpacas, dorper sheep, geese and chickens, most hand-reared and tame.

NO WEDDING PRICING EXISTS ON THE DOMAIN - no package, hire fee, minimum spend, ceremony fee or per-head rate. The weddings page ends on an invitation: 'Contact us to find out all the options available to create your day, your way.' Enquiries go to info@treeelle.com or 61-8-98408471.
THE ONLY PUBLISHED FIGURES ARE NIGHTLY ACCOMMODATION RATES, AND THEY ARE NOT A WEDDING RATE (§68). From the Barnhouse page: 'Rates. From $370 per night for 4 guests. $45 per night for each extra guest. Maximum of 8 guests comes to just $69 per guest per night (including breakfast).' No rate is published for the Lofthouses. A wedding taking the whole property would be booking four houses at rates the site only partly discloses.
THE RECEPTION HAS NO CURFEW, WHICH IS THE MOST USEFUL LINE ON THE SITE: 'With no curfew on a Tree-Elle Retreat reception, you and your guests can dance the night away.' Most rural venues publish a hard music-off time; this one publishes the opposite.
EXCLUSIVE USE IS THE MODEL: 'At Tree-Elle Retreat we offer an exclusive Estate to mingle, wine, dine and relax in our vast secret garden.' No shared-property caveat appears anywhere.
CATERING IS NOT OFFERED AND NO DIETARY INFORMATION IS PUBLISHED - the houses are self-contained with full kitchens, gas barbecues, breakfast supplies and bread machines, and guests are 'welcome to pick seasonal vegetables and herbs from the garden'. There is no wedding menu, no caterer named and no dietary page, so dietary_options_supported is NULL as not-published (§73). Worth asking whether an external caterer is required or permitted.
THE PROPERTY IS REMOTE AND THE VENUE SAYS SO: 'from Albany, you need to head West for about an hour on South Coast Highway. Travel through Denmark and continue towards Peaceful Bay. Our entrance is on the left after George Ebbett Road and before Bandit Road. If you get to the Valley of the Giants you have gone too far.' And: 'remember phone reception is limited in south west WA. Please check with your provider for coverage details.' Guest transport and accommodation off site are real planning items.
THE OWNERS AND THE HISTORY ARE PUBLISHED: 'Your hosts, Kim and Peter, fell in love with the area on their first visit in 1998 and made the sea change in 2011. Peter and Kim purchased the property that was created by Trina and Elle (Tree Elle) after deciding to have their wedding at the property.' Rule 8 checked - a single owner-run property on its own domain, no group.
THE GARDENS CARRY AN EXTERNAL CREDENTIAL, stated by the venue: 'We love to share our beautiful gardens that have featured in the Open Garden Australia program, or open them for a private wedding.' The gardens are also open to drop-in visitors, so a wedding date is worth checking against public garden opening.
THE SITE IS OLD. Its Yoast metadata gives datePublished 2016 and dateModified January 2018, and every image in the media library is from 2013-2014. The wedding copy carries no dates and no prices, so nothing quoted here is stale on its face - but the absence of any 2020s content is worth flagging to a future pass.
