Archela Bridal
About
Overview & Vibe
Archela Bridal has been dressing Perth brides since 1982, when it opened as Bride's Selection; it rebranded in 2022 and now calls itself Western Australia's longest-established bridal boutique. The Rokeby Road showroom is deliberately modern — pale, well-lit, drum-lit ceilings and a neon wordmark behind the counter — with private fitting suites and seating for three guests outside each one. Forty years of trading sits behind a room that looks nothing like forty years old.
Dress Styles & Designers
Two hundred and seventy-six bridal gowns are published, led by SenStudio by Nicole+Felicia and Atelier Wu at the couture end, and filled out by Elysee, Etoile, Jessica Couture, Maggie Sottero, Rebecca Ingram, Cosmobella by Demetrios, Maya Bella, Miss Chloe and Love by Enzoani. The store tags every gown by silhouette and lets brides browse on that basis alone: ball gown, A-line, mermaid, fit-and-flare, sheath, simple, modern, sleeves, overskirt and curve. Bridesmaid and evening dressing runs through Nicoletta and Tania Olsen.
Ideal For
The bride who wants a couture-level gown without a couture-only shop, and the bride who would rather shop by shape than by label. Prices run from $190 to $12,560 with a median around $2,555, so the middle of this collection is genuinely mid-market. A dedicated Curve / plus-size collection is published, and there is an under-$1,000 bridal category.
The Need-to-Knows
Appointments are required. A new-client consultation runs about 90 minutes and allows for roughly six gowns; Saturday slots are priority appointments carrying a $25 fee and are often booked two weeks ahead, refundable with 72 hours' notice. Second visits are complimentary and run 60 minutes, but a third appointment carries a $50 charge. Sample gowns in store are mostly size 6-14 with a selection up to size 20. Bring no more than three or four people — the store says more becomes overwhelming, and there is seating for three outside each fitting room. Note that at the designers' request, no photographs or video may be taken during a bridal appointment until a gown has been purchased.
Standout Feature
In-house dressmakers. Archela employs its own alterations team rather than referring brides out, which for a shop with four decades of fitting behind it is the part that is hardest for a newer boutique to copy.

Dress Experience
- Bridal appointments are one-on-one with a trained stylist in a private fitting suite. A new-client consultation runs about 90 minutes: a walk-through of the showroom first, then the bride chooses gowns, with time enough for roughly six. Weekday appointments are usually available within the hour; Saturdays are priority slots carrying a $25 fee and are often booked two weeks ahead. A complimentary 60-minute second visit is offered for retrying favourites or taking measurements, and a third appointment carries a $50 charge. The store asks brides to bring no more than three or four people, and provides seating for three outside each fitting room. Sample gowns are mostly size 6 to 14, with a selection up to size 20. At the designers' request, no photographs or video may be taken during a bridal appointment until the gown has been purchased. In-house dressmakers handle alterations.
