Tara Rees has run Euka from a home studio in South Lake since 2019, after a Certificate III in Floristry at TAFE and a teenage arts education that shows in the work. The studio’s stated position is sustainability first: designs are free of toxic floral foam, materials are compostable, recyclable or reusable, and bouquets are wrapped in kraft paper and jute twine rather than plastic. Almost everything used in an installation is collected afterwards and used again.

Style & Signature Blooms

Native wildflowers are named as the specialty, alongside other seasonal Australian-grown varieties. The studio’s own words for the result are raw, earthy and wild, and textural — designs for the free spirited and down to earth. A seasonal Australian-grown flower calendar is offered, but only to people who join the mailing list, so no variety list could be read from the site.

Ideal For

Two quite different couples. Full-service weddings start at a $5,000 minimum and cover everything from bouquets to large-scale arbour installations. Separately, elopement packages start at a $400 minimum, built from set-price signature designs where the couple picks quantities and a colour palette and leaves the flower choice to the studio — though large installations and arbour setups are not part of them.

The Need-to-Knows

Around thirty-five items are individually priced, from a $33 boutonnière to a $1,650 two-metre flower tower, and those prices exclude delivery and installation, which are quoted on the logistics of each event. Booking runs enquiry, availability check, order form, then a quote within three to five business days. A proposal holds for thirty days and the date for seven; a non-refundable twenty per cent deposit and a signed contract secure it. There is a check-in six to eight weeks out and the balance falls due twenty-eight days before the day.

Standout Feature

An honest limit, stated up front. Because the studio buys Australian-grown and in-season, it says plainly that it may not be able to guarantee a favourite flower if that flower is imported or out of season — naming roses, orchids and other exotics as the likely cases — and commits instead to a high-quality local substitute within the agreed colour palette.

Appointment Policy

Enquiries start with a form on the website or through social media, and the studio asks only for what is known so far.
The studio replies confirming whether the date is available, then sends a wedding order form to gather the detail needed for a first quote.
Initial quotes are aimed to come back within three to five business days, with labour, delivery and setup fees added.
A consultation call by phone can be booked to talk through requirements in detail.
After the consultation and acceptance of the initial quote, a visual proposal arrives with the contract and an invoice for all costs.
A proposal is valid for thirty days, and the date is held for seven days after it is sent.
Six to eight weeks before the day the studio makes contact to redefine choices, quantities and logistics.

Delivery & Setup

Wedding prices exclude delivery and installation, which are charged according to the logistics and location of the event.
Full service includes delivery of wedding party flowers to two separate locations, setup and installation at both the ceremony and the reception, and pack-down if needed.
Large-scale designs are arranged on site rather than transported, and can be built directly onto a wide range of structures.
Repurposing a ceremony arbour into reception arrangements can be limited but is not impossible, and is actively encouraged to get more out of the budget.
Almost all installation materials are reusable and are collected at the end of the event.
Elopement packages are available for delivery or for pick-up.
Pre-order bouquets are delivered within 20km of the South Lake studio for a flat $20, on Wednesdays only.
Bouquet orders for a given Wednesday close at 11.59pm the preceding Monday; the courier collects at 7am and aims to deliver between 7.30am and 4pm.
An address outside the listed 20km suburbs cannot be delivered to, and such an order is cancelled and refunded.

Price Notes

A non-refundable deposit of twenty per cent, together with a signed contract, is what secures a booking.
