About

Overview & Vibe

Karen has run Twillery from a Spearwood studio since 2014, working across Perth and out into the Peel, South West and parts of the Wheatbelt. The house style is called Cottage-Garden or English Garden: relaxed, romantic, colour-forward, and built on a stated preference for a few big pieces over many small ones. Consultations are one-to-one over Zoom, which is how the studio handles couples marrying in Perth from interstate and overseas.

Style & Signature Blooms

Garden textures and tones, chosen by season rather than by request — the studio asks couples to pick a colour palette and a design style and leave the varieties to it. It publishes a four-season Perth guide naming around sixty blooms, from spring ranunculus, peony and kangaroo paw through summer delphinium and dahlia, autumn banksia and leucadendron, to winter hellebore, princess protea and blushing bride.

Ideal For

Couples who want to know the numbers before they enquire. Almost nothing here is quoted blind: there are published minimums for each service tier, a full à la carte menu with prices, a hire catalogue with dimensions, typical spends tied to guest counts, and a budget calculator.

The Need-to-Knows

Peak-season minimums are $4,000 for the custom full-service and $2,500 for the à la carte menu, each plus delivery and set-up, and off-peak winter minimums are published separately. Weddings outside the Perth metro carry a $6,000 minimum to cover travel and on-site set-up. A 35% booking retainer secures the date, bookings open 18 months out, and March, April, October and November tend to fill about ten months ahead. Hire decor is available only to couples booking floral services, and is returned by the couple the week after.

Standout Feature

The budget guidance. The studio suggests allocating about 15% of a wedding budget to flowers including design, delivery, logistics and hire, and says most couples spend $6,000 to $8,000 for 60 to 85 guests, with more floral-forward weddings landing at $12,000 to $14,000. It also explains what drives those numbers — seasonality, complexity, and the fact that Western Australia’s cut flower trade leans on imported roses and orchids that cannot always be matched locally.

Appointment Policy

  • Bookings open up to 18 months in advance.
  • March, April, October and November tend to book out about ten months ahead.
  • Bookings can still be taken as close as four weeks out if the date is free.
  • Step one is an enquiry; the studio then checks availability and invites the couple to a one-to-one Zoom consultation.
  • An initial estimate follows, with one complimentary revision included.
  • A signed Acceptance of Terms and a 35% booking retainer secure the date.
  • Final floral details are confirmed six weeks before the wedding.
  • Before the consultation the studio asks for inspiration images, a confirmed venue, and the reception layout.
  • Studio hours are Thursday and Friday 9am to 5.30pm and Saturday 10am to 2pm.
  • Enquiries on 0432 844 100 or through the enquiry form.

Delivery & Setup

  • Delivery and set-up are charged on top of every published minimum.
  • Weddings outside the Perth metro carry a $6,000 minimum, which the studio explains covers the extra travel time, logistics and labour.
  • Hire decor is returned by the couple at a Return Appointment the week after the wedding, which the studio says keeps its package prices lower.
  • On-the-day pick-up appointments from 10am are offered for wedding party flowers or small, easily transportable orders.
  • Flowers cannot be collected before the event day, because of how delicate finished work is.
  • The studio asks couples to check their venue's vendor bump-in and bump-out conditions when planning feature installations.
