Sandalford Wines
About
Overview & Vibe
Sandalford is a 182-year-old estate on West Swan Road at Caversham, the Swan Valley's grandest wedding address and one of the few in the region that can seat several hundred. Four indoor rooms and four ceremony lawns mean the scale of the day is genuinely a choice, from 15 in a private dining room to 350 in a pillarless ballroom.
Setting & Style
Each reception room pairs with its own ceremony lawn. The Estate Room is bespoke and pillarless with sweeping views over lawns, lake and vineyards, and takes the Merlot Lawn. The Oak Room is walled with oak barrels under ceiling drapes and a wrought-iron chandelier, paired with the Chenin Lawn. Sandalera sits in the old underground wine cellar lined with American oak barrels that once held aged port, paired with Hill House. The Vintage Room is three long wooden tables beside the restaurant, for the smallest weddings, with the Verdelho Lawn.
Ideal For
Couples wanting a large, formal Swan Valley wedding with everything on one estate — and equally, couples wanting fifteen people around a wooden table at the same address.
The Need-to-Knows

Wedding packages run $169 to $214 per person — Alcohol Free $169, Rosé $177, Merlot $183, Chardonnay $197 and Prendiville $214 — each including a set menu or the European Harvest share menu, a beverage package, cake served on platters and venue hire inclusions.

- Minimum spends are substantial — $5,500 for the Vintage Room up to $20,000–$25,000 for the Estate Room, and $50,000 for the Merlot Lawn marquee — and they are inclusive of food, beverage and reception venue hire.
- The Rosé package is seasonal, available only for June, July, August, January and February weddings, and drops ceremony hire to $500.
- Beverage service is capped at seven hours.
- Extras: ceremony chairs $9.50 each, wooden signing table $75, wishing well $60, premium table numbers $4 each — and the styling items must be booked when the date is confirmed.
Standout Feature
An underground port cellar lined with American oak, and a pillarless ballroom that seats 350 — on the same 182-year-old estate.

Price Notes
- SOURCE AND DATING: the Sandalford Wines Wedding Kit FY26-27, PDF created 23 June 2026 and modified 3 July 2026 - about three weeks old at the time of listing - and printing on every price page 'All prices are inclusive of GST. Prices valid 1 July 2026 - 30 June 2027.' A separate one-page Winter Offer 2026-2027 was created 17 July 2026. These are the most current pricing documents in the campaign.
- VENUE HIRE, charged in addition to the per-person package, listed as Saturday then Sunday-to-Friday: Estate Room $2,500 / $2,000; Oak Room $1,500 / $1,200; Sandalera Room $1,600 / $1,200; Verdelho Lawn $1,500 / $1,200; Merlot Lawn (Marquee) POA / $10,000; Vintage Room $1,000 / $1,000; Ceremony Hire $750 / $750. Hire is 'inclusive of all set up costs including cutlery, glassware, linen, crockery, brown bentwood chairs, 10-seater round tables, barrel for displaying your wedding cake and printed A5 menus' for the Oak, Estate and Sandalera Rooms.
- MINIMUM SPEND - COLUMN ORDER NOT RESOLVED, RECORDED AS PUBLISHED. The kit gives a two-column minimum spend table under the header 'Venue | Saturday | Sunday to Friday', inclusive of food, beverage and reception venue hire. By glyph position the left column reads: Estate Room $20,000, Oak Room $12,000, Sandalera Room $13,000, Verdelho Lawn $12,000, Merlot Lawn $50,000, Vintage Room $5,500; and the right column: Estate Room $25,000, Oak Room $14,000, Sandalera Room $15,000, Verdelho Lawn $14,000, Merlot Lawn POA, Vintage Room $5,500. Taken at face value that makes Sunday-to-Friday MORE expensive than Saturday, which is implausible and contradicts the venue hire table where Saturday is dearer. A cross-check on the Merlot Lawn row deepens the problem rather than settling it: Merlot is POA on SATURDAY in the venue hire table but POA in the RIGHT-hand minimum spend column. The two tables therefore appear to order their columns differently. Both readings are recorded here and neither has been silently corrected. Treat the range as: Vintage Room $5,500 either day; Oak Room and Verdelho Lawn $12,000-$14,000; Sandalera $13,000-$15,000; Estate Room $20,000-$25,000; Merlot Lawn marquee $50,000 or POA - and confirm which figure applies to which day with the venue.
- BEVERAGE: 'There is a maximum of 7 hours of beverage service for your wedding reception.' Package beverage upgrades: Margaret River Collection $5 per person, 1840 Collection $10, Estate Reserve Collection $15; imported beers $9 per person, replacing one of the three included beers. Set menu upgrades: alternate entree, main or dessert $6.50 per person per course; choice entree, main or dessert $13.50 per person per course.
- ADDITIONAL HIRE ITEMS: ceremony chairs $9.50 each; wooden signing table $75; wishing well $60; premium table numbers $4 per number. The signing table, wishing well and table numbers 'must be booked with us when confirming your wedding date to ensure availability'.
- MENUS: European Harvest Menu $115 per person; Premium European Harvest Menu $134 per person; canape and grazing selections from $27 to $47 per person.
- NOTE ON THE VINTAGE ROOM: its hire includes silver cutlery, standard glassware, white linen napkins, crockery, velvet grey chairs, three long statement wooden tables, a barrel for the wedding cake and printed A5 menus - a different inclusion list from the other rooms. 'Please note: excess chairs and tables cannot be removed from the room.'
