A working farm from 1905 turned into two adjoining wedding properties, thirty minutes from the Perth CBD. The family bought Chapel Farm in 2000 and the neighbouring estate — formerly Jane Brook Estate, and before that Vignacourt Wine Cellars — in 2021, so a couple is choosing between two quite different venues under one name.

Setting & Style

Rustic and deliberately so: “A rustic barnyard constructed from 100 year old timbers, railway sleepers, hand crafted wrought iron, and old Swan Valley Rocks. Enchanted Gardens and hidden creeks. A century old Sugar Gum Tree, and stained glass windows from the 1800's.” There is a natural lake, a waterfall, chapel ruins, flame trees, Japanese elms and farm animals, with the Perth Hills behind.

Couples wanting a farm wedding with everything on site — two reception options at very different scales, and a spread of on-site accommodation from themed boutique rooms to a three-bedroom shack.

The Need-to-Knows

Two reception spaces, two scales. The Courtyard at Chapel Farm seats 150; the Church Barn at the Estate seats 250.
The Courtyard is semi-outdoor by design — “protected from the elements while still being outside” — with a built-in Jarrah dance floor and complimentary fairy and festoon lighting.
The Church Barn offers fully and semi-enclosed options with air-conditioning, which matters in a Swan Valley summer.
No pricing is published. The wedding guide and function pack are both download-gated, and no figure appears anywhere on the site.
Accommodation cannot be inspected before booking, and the venue says so plainly — rooms are sold to the public as well as to wedding guests, and bookings are by email only.

TWO DISTINCT PROPERTIES TRADE UNDER ONE NAME, which materially changes what is being quoted. Chapel Farm 'est. 1905 was a working farm for over 90 years. In 2000 the Walker Family bought the bones of Chapel Farm.' The second: 'The Estate was bought by the Walker Family in 2021. Originally Jane Brook Estate on the property next door to Chapel Farm, the Estate is our newest, yet equally as charming event space.' It was 'built from the bones of the original winery founded in the early 1900's, originally named Vignacourt Wine Cellars'. A couple should confirm WHICH property a quote covers - the Courtyard (150) and the Church Barn (250) are on different properties.
ACCOMMODATION CANNOT BE INSPECTED BEFORE BOOKING, stated unusually directly: 'Please note that like most hotels & accommodation venues, rooms cannot be viewed prior to booking. As rooms are not only available to wedding guests but the general public too, regular check ins & check outs as well as guest privacy makes this difficult to facilitate. Please refer to room photos and descriptions to determine suitability.' It also means wedding guests share the property with the public.
THE SEASONAL MENU IS GATED BY GROUP SIZE: the functions page offers 'View Seasonal Menu (suitable for 20+ guests)'. No dishes, prices or dietary notes are published on the site.
NO DIETARY POSITION IS PUBLISHED BY THE VENUE. A guest review on the site says 'We had a few guests with dietary requirements and on the day the staff approached these guests and ensured they had a special [meal]' - but a review is not the venue's own statement of policy, and dietary_options_supported is recorded NULL rather than inferred from it.
