Matty Teague grew up on three thousand acres outside Narrabri, found a camera in a lost property basket while teaching snowboarding in Canada, and now photographs weddings out of Mudgee. He puts the count at around six hundred across forty-eight countries, and when he is not shooting he runs a music festival in town. The energy comes through in the work.
Candid, natural and timeless, in his own words — real, raw emotion and golden light rather than stiff poses. He guides couples into natural interactions instead of posing them, and says outright that he is all for couples who want to break with tradition and do the day their own way.
Couples marrying at a Mudgee winery or anywhere across the Central West who want someone genuinely local. Also good for elopements: $1,790 covers vows with the people closest to you, and he encourages bringing them along rather than slipping away alone.
Elopements from $1,790, a full wedding day from $3,750, and a $1,000 deposit to hold the date with the balance due a fortnight before. Every collection includes unlimited images, print-ready files with no watermarks, an online gallery and a personalised mobile app. Galleries arrive within six weeks. No hours are published — he sells the day rather than a block of time.
Unlimited images with no watermarks and no restrictions, handed over as print-ready files. Most photographers cap the count or sell you the prints afterwards; here the number rises with the coverage and the files are simply yours. He also names a second lead photographer and a business partner who can cover your date if he cannot, which is a rare thing to publish.
