Earth Sanctuary World Nature Centre

Alice Springs / Uluru, Northern Territory Capacity: Up to 250

About

Overview & Vibe

Earth Sanctuary sits fifteen minutes from Alice Springs on the red sand of the central desert, looking across to the Eastern MacDonnell Ranges.

Setting & Style

Ceremonies happen in the Amphitheatre, framed by Mulga arches with Mt Undoolya behind, and the venue charges nothing extra for it. Dinner is then either in the barn or, if you ask, simply outside under the desert sky — which in Central Australia is the whole point. The venue is fully licensed and seats up to two hundred and fifty. Catering runs to a gourmet barbecue built around scotch fillet, with quandong and strawberry syrup turning up in the dessert, and a complimentary fifteen to twenty minute astronomy tour is included, run by the family who operate the centre. A courtesy bus is available for guests coming out from town.

Ideal For

Couples who want the desert itself as the venue, and guests who will remember the night sky more than the room.
