The Shamrock Hotel sits on Nebo Road, minutes from the Mackay CBD and the airport. It is a working pub with three function spaces attached, and it is one of the very few venues in this database that publishes every price and every capacity — four wedding packages, two ceremony packages, room hire, platters and canapés, all itemised.
Setting & Style
The main room is The Pavilion, set apart from the hotel: “the beautiful wooden exposed beams give the room a warm and unique atmosphere, differentiating it from most other venues in Mackay.” Its own photographs show long tables with gold candelabras running under draped ceilings and chandeliers. The Outdoor Terrace is fully undercover with overhead sails and planted beds, and the Garden View is a small, air-conditioned room with its own bar.
