Skillogalee is a working wine estate in the Skilly Valley on the western edge of Sevenhill, midway between Auburn and Clare and about ninety minutes from Adelaide. It has been part of the Clare Valley for more than fifty years, and it runs ceremony, reception and accommodation on the one property — all within walking distance of each other.
Ceremonies happen among the vines or on the estate lawns, framed by native gums with the valley behind and Spring Gully Conservation Park around it. Receptions move to the Barrel House, a warm, light-filled shed whose end wall opens onto an outdoor terrace and the vineyard beyond — long tables, festoon lights, and the valley in the doorway. The Homestead sits beside it and is used for getting ready. Menus follow the season and the region, poured with wines grown on the estate.
Couples who want the whole weekend in one place — ceremony, dinner and beds — on a working Clare Valley wine estate.
The Barrel House with its end wall open to the vineyard, and beds for the whole party a short walk away.
