Ulla Nordwood Photography is a wedding photography duo working out of Hobart and across Tasmania, with more than sixteen years behind the camera. The promise is a day that feels like itself: no posing, no stress, and pictures that carry the feeling of the day rather than a set of arrangements.

Style & Approach

The work is natural and candid, aiming for photographs that feel timeless and honest. Rather than directing you into positions, Ulla documents the day as it unfolds and lets the light and the moment do the work. Every image is edited in that natural style, and around a fifth of the gallery also arrives in black and white.

Ideal For

Couples marrying at a Tasmanian winery, homestead, beach or garden who want the day documented warmly and unobtrusively — and who would rather be photographed enjoying themselves than arranged. Engagement and pre-wedding sessions are offered as well, and elopements and intimate celebrations are welcomed alongside full-day weddings.

The Need-to-Knows

Collections start from $1,900. For larger and full-day weddings a second photographer joins, chosen to match the same relaxed approach so the gallery holds together. You receive every frame captured — the number is deliberately not capped — individually retouched, in high resolution and without watermarks, in a private online gallery with unlimited download and printing rights. A wedding album can be added and is designed together with you. A few sneak peeks arrive within two to three days. Most couples book twelve to eighteen months ahead, and an in-person meeting beforehand is part of how they work.
