Polperro is Red Hill distilled — a husband-and-wife winery under ancient gums, where a grand row of Angophora trees forms a natural altar and the view runs down Talland Hill’s vines into the valley.
Weddings scale from six to 120 guests across the dining room, lawn and deck — stand-up cocktails or seated dining, always with the vineyard framed beyond the rosemary hedges. Sam Coverdale and Emma Phillips run the estate personally: hand-crafted wines, a kitchen fed from the farm, and the Escape villas keeping the couple on the property when the night ends. The brochure comes via enquiry; the feeling — ‘this must be the place’ — comes at the gate.
Couples wanting an intimate, owner-run winery wedding — natural altar, farm food and villa keys on-site.
The Angophora altar — ancient gums spaced as if planted for vows.
