Pt. Leo Estate sits on 330 acres above Western Port at Merricks, on the Mornington Peninsula — a vineyard, a restaurant group and Australia's foremost privately-owned Sculpture Park on one site. The architecture is contemporary and deliberate: a long curved-roof building with 180-degree glazing, so the vines, the artworks and the bay are in view from every table. This is the luxury end of the peninsula, and the venue does not pretend otherwise.

Setting & Style

Three wedding spaces, each hired exclusively. Laura is the fine-dining room — one of only three Australian appointments to Relais & Châteaux, two Chef's Hats, menus by Culinary Director Josep Espuga. Pt. Leo Restaurant is the main dining room at the heart of the venue, with the 180-degree vistas. The Wine Terrace overlooks the vineyard, the Sculpture Park and Western Port, and sits apart from the busier areas behind the Cellar Door. The venue's own event pack describes guests taking pre-dinner drinks and canapés in the 16-acre Sculpture Park before dinner in the main room. A monumental black arch sculpture is the signature portrait spot.

Ideal For

Couples for whom the food and the setting are the wedding — this is a destination for a seated, chef-led celebration rather than a marquee-and-band affair. It suits guest lists from 20 in Laura up to 150 seated across the venue, and couples who want art and coastline in their photographs without leaving the property. Access is genuinely good: the main building, all restaurants, the Cellar Door and the Sculpture Park are wheelchair accessible, with buggies available from the car park.

The Need-to-Knows

Weddings require exclusive hire of the property, and the pricing is published per space: Laura from $5,520 with a minimum of 20 guests, The Wine Terrace from $5,520 with a minimum of 30, and Pt. Leo Restaurant from $14,300 with a minimum of 50. The constraint that matters most is buried in the event pack: exclusivity on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday requires a full buyout of the entire estate — so a weekend wedding is a materially different proposition from a midweek one. Seating tops out at 150. Dietary requirements are accommodated but none is named on the site, so specifics need confirming. Note also that Laura is not suitable for diners under the age of 8. There is no accommodation on the estate.
