Trofeo Estate
About
Overview & Vibe
Trofeo Estate sits at the end of a tree-lined driveway on 50 acres of vineyard at Dromana, and its reception building is a converted 1930s passionfruit cannery — exposed brick, high ceilings, big windows and timber. Alongside it stands a climate-controlled marquee for larger weddings. The estate is best known in the wine world for growing in terracotta amphorae; for a couple, the draw is a working vineyard with a genuinely unusual building on it.
Setting & Style
Two very different rooms. The Restaurant, inside the restored cannery, is the smaller and more atmospheric — brick walls, festoon light, long timber tables. The Marquee takes up to 200 seated, is fully climate-controlled, opens its sides to the vines, and comes with a hardwood dance floor and its own independent private bar. Ceremonies happen outside among the rows — the estate's own real-wedding galleries show arbours on the lawn and aisles under the gums. There is also a Wine Garden for relaxed, shared-plate gatherings.
Ideal For
Couples who want a Mornington Peninsula vineyard wedding that can scale. A cannery-room dinner and a 200-guest marquee reception are two different weddings on one property, and the estate publishes five real weddings across both. Catering is in-house under an executive chef, and the kitchen is a working restaurant rather than a function kitchen — it runs seasonal menus for the public Thursday to Monday, so you can taste the food before you book.
The Need-to-Knows
The published figures belong to the restaurant, not to weddings — notably a $74 per head group grazing menu that applies automatically to groups of 16 and above in the Wine Garden, and a 20% public holiday surcharge. On dietary needs the estate is careful rather than reassuring: it will cater to requirements but states it “cannot guarantee the complete absence of allergens”. There is no accommodation on site. The cellar door and restaurant open Thursday to Monday only, so plan a visit accordingly.
Standout Feature
The cannery. A 1930s industrial building that processed passionfruit, kept as brick and timber rather than rendered over, now holding long tables under strings of light — and a marquee next door for when 200 people need to sit down.

Price Notes
- A la carte garden dishes run roughly $16-$44.
- The estate publishes five real weddings as full case studies, each with its own page — Nick & Jacqui (summer marquee), Ashlee & Callum, Sophie & Jack, Romantic Autumn, and Steve & Marie in the gallery. This is unusually transparent for this campaign and worth a couple's time: the photographs show both buildings actually in use rather than styled empty.
