Wedding Venues · Mudgee, New South Wales · Visit in person
Augustine sits on 70 acres of vineyard, gardens and rolling hills five kilometres from Mudgee — close enough to be easy, far enough to be private. It is a country wine-country venue rather than a formal one, and its signature is an undercover outdoor stage built on the bed of a vintage truck, strung with festoon lights against the hills.
There is no single ceremony spot: the venue offers multiple ceremony sites, each with a wet weather option, across the property. Its own photography shows a white pergola on lawn with the ranges behind, timber gates opening onto a gravel aisle, a vine-covered walkway, and ceremonies under an old shade tree. Receptions run indoors on long timber tables or outdoors under the festoons, with the truck-bed stage for live music. The rest of the estate reads the way Mudgee reads — rusting farm trucks, roses, corrugated iron and a stone fountain.
Couples who want a relaxed vineyard wedding that can go either way on format: 80 guests seated or 200-plus for cocktails. Everything is in-house — catering with fully customisable menus, a licensed bar with tab options, bar and wait staff, crockery, cutlery, glassware and napery, plus set-up and pack-down — so the day needs fewer suppliers than most country venues. The undercover stage means live music is designed in rather than improvised.
No pricing is published — menus are described as fully customisable and everything is quoted on enquiry, so budget conversations start with an email. Augustine is a licensed venue: BYO is not permitted, and it will not serve anyone under 18. There is no accommodation on site, though Mudgee is five kilometres away. The venue publishes no dietary detail beyond the menus being customisable, which is worth settling early.
The truck. An undercover stage set on a rustic truck bed, lit by festoons, with 70 acres of vineyard behind it — a permanent live-music setup on a wedding property, which almost no wedding venue has.
