Wedding Venues · Murrumbateman / Canberra District, New South Wales · Visit in person
Shaw Estate sits on Isabel Drive in the heart of Murrumbateman’s wine region, framed by sweeping views of the Southern Tablelands and reached through tree-lined gardens.
The design is country Mediterranean — pale stone, arched openings and a sense of quiet sophistication rather than rustic barn. Ceremonies are exchanged within the tree-lined gardens or amid the vineyard grounds; the reception rooms are contemporary, light-filled and open onto the gardens. It is deliberately pitched at intimate weddings, comfortably hosting up to a hundred and twenty guests, with a separate micro-wedding offering below that. Packages are structured rather than open-ended: six hours of attendance beginning at the ceremony, with a five-hour food and beverage package, and the schedule is designed around daylight savings so the ceremony and reception catch the best of the natural light. A dedicated Weddings Executive runs the planning.
Couples wanting a polished, contemporary winery wedding half an hour from Canberra.
