The Conservatory sits at Burradoo between Bowral and Moss Vale, a glass-walled reception room looking out over fifteen rural acres of lawn, lake and old willows.
The building is the point — walls of windows down one side so the gardens stay in the room whatever the Highlands weather is doing, which in this part of the world is a practical decision as much as an aesthetic one. Outside, ceremonies are held at the lakeside gazebo or under the enchanting willow tree at the water’s edge, both a short walk from the reception. The venue seats thirty to a hundred and twenty for a formal or feasting-style dinner and takes up to a hundred and sixty for cocktails. It sits alongside Briars Country Lodge, so guests who want to stay can, with the historic Briars Inn next door.
