The main house dates to 1892 and has been restored into something closer to a private country estate than a function centre — heritage floorboards, four-poster beds, an open-fire Latin American restaurant, and a lawn that runs out towards Morton National Park. The property sits “steeped in history and set amongst a backdrop of sprawling bushland and century-old gardens”. Its own photography shows formal gardens and a clipped lawn against the white weatherboard house, a dining room with valley views on three sides, a bar and lounge with an indoor fireplace, and a Forest Bathing Deck with an ice bath, sauna, jacuzzi and fire pit set among the trees. The Need-to-Knows

This venue publishes almost nothing, and that is a stated policy rather than an oversight. The events pack says outright: “We are a discreet venue and for the comfort of all our guests, capacity of our spaces is subject to individual terms & conditions.” There are no capacities, no per-head rates and no named ceremony spaces anywhere on the site or in the 17-page pack — every path leads to events@osbornhouse.com.au. Two further things matter: the hotel accommodates children over twelve, and a two-night minimum applies on Saturdays in the suites, terraces and lodges (three nights over a public holiday).

Standout Feature

Fire Kitchen. An open-fire restaurant built around a fire dome on the outdoor terrace, cooking a Latin American menu over flames while guests watch, looking out over Morton National Park — and the property runs a twice-monthly Asado feast around it. For a Southern Highlands wedding weekend, that is a genuinely different offer to the region’s usual vineyard-and-marquee formula.
