Rawson Park is a restored 1914 homestead on a working farm at Milbrulong, out on the Riverina plains between Lockhart and Wagga Wagga. It is still the owners’ family home — fifth-generation locals who have farmed the land since 2000 and rebuilt the house and gardens around hosting weddings in them. The register of what is included reads less like a package and more like someone opening their own front door.

Setting & Style

Red-brick verandahed homestead with a white timber trim, pressed metal ceilings and chandeliers inside, sweeping lawns and a windmill outside. Ceremonies go under leafy trees or a timber arbour looking over the paddocks; there is also a small historic church on the property. Receptions are in a marquee on the lawn, and the paddocks and dirt roads around the house do the photography.

Ideal For

Couples who want a whole-weekend country wedding they build themselves — BYO caterer, own drinks, own marquee — with the wedding party sleeping in the homestead and a farm’s worth of golden-hour light for photographs.

The Need-to-Knows

You must hire a marquee. The venue says so plainly: “Couples are required to hire a marquee.” They help arrange it and can supply the tables, seating and a full cocktail set-up — wine barrels, stools, umbrellas — but the structure itself is a separate hire and a separate cost.
Fully BYO. “Rawson Park is a BYO venue. You have full freedom to choose your own caterers.” That is unusual freedom and unusual responsibility — nothing is bundled.

Accommodation is the homestead itself, with a private bridal suite, plus three luxury glamping tents as an option — “stay the night before and after your wedding.”

The site is four pages - home, FAQs, gallery, contact - and carries no package price, venue hire fee, per-head figure, minimum spend or deposit. Enquiry is by form and 'Viewings by appointment only'.
No guest capacity is published. The reception is under a marquee you hire yourself, so the number you can seat is set by the marquee rather than by the venue.
Couples are required to hire a marquee. We're happy to help guide you through this process. We can supply marquee tables and seating and a full cocktail evening set up ( wine barrels, stools, umbrella's etc)'. So the furniture and the cocktail-hour set-up come from the venue, but the structure does not.
Fully BYO: 'Do you allow external catering? Yes - Rawson Park is a BYO venue. You have full freedom to choose your own caterers.' No approved-caterer list and no in-house kitchen are mentioned. This is the opposite of Borambola Wines an hour up the road, which is licensed, permits no BYO and restricts catering to four named caterers.
What comes with the property: homestead accommodation with a private bridal suite for the nights before and after, a small historic church on the grounds, three glamping tents with bedding and linen, garden, rural and heritage photo locations, and a 1964 Ford Falcon wedding car with a driver. Ask which of these are included in the hire and which are charged separately.
Distances, which matter here: 'How far are you from Wagga? We're 65km from Wagga Wagga, 20km from Lockhart, and 100km from Albury.' The homepage repeats it. There is no township at Milbrulong beyond a village, so guest accommodation and transport are a real planning item.
A garden pavilion is coming but is not yet built, so it is not a space you can book.
