Spring Bay Mill was once the largest woodchip mill in the world. It is now a waterfront event site and eco-retreat at Triabunna on Tasmania’s east coast, and the industrial bones are the point: you can marry in a tin shed, in a concrete amphitheatre built around the old windlass, on a timber deck above the bay, or barefoot on the beach. It is unapologetically not a reception centre.
