Glendale is a hidden vineyard down a long gravel road at Sidmouth, in Tasmania’s Tamar Valley: 140 acres of vines, farmland and wild bush, with a cellar door in an old apple packing shed. The wedding offer is built out of the same buildings — the reception venue is the shed itself, restored rather than replaced.
The Orchard Shed is a timber, barn-style building originally built to pack apples, now the reception space. Ceremonies go wherever the property suits you — the venue names views over the dam, the mountains or the vineyard, and leaves the rest open: “we’re pretty confident you’ll find somewhere on the 140 acre property to say your vows in a setting that is just you.” Its own photography shows the shed strung with festoon light over long tables, and a chaired aisle set on the grass above the dam.
