Island Bay Ranch sits on Churchill Road at Newhaven, on the eastern end of Phillip Island, looking across Western Port Bay to Churchill Island. The accommodation and facilities occupy five acres of native gardens and lawn inside a 160-acre rural property, surrounded by farmland and oceanfront. It is a self-contained ranch you take over rather than a function centre — the couple and their party stay on site, and the wedding happens in the grounds.

Setting & Style

Relaxed and rural: lawns running down toward the bay, mature cypress and gums, hay paddocks beyond the fence, and a solar-heated pool and spa at the centre of the gardens. The shared buildings carry the ranch feel — a large open fireplace, a snooker table, table tennis and darts in the recreation room, a dining room and commercial kitchen, and an outdoor barbecue and alfresco area under a timber-framed roof.

Ideal For

Couples who want the property to themselves for a weekend, are happy to bring in their own caterer and hire, and like the idea of their closest people sleeping fifty metres from the ceremony.

Weddings in the grounds are catered for up to 100 people, but the accommodation holds a maximum of 28 in six studio-style log cabins. Guests beyond that number stay off site.
