Wagga Wagga, New South Wales Capacity: Up to 140

About

Overview & Vibe

Uneke Warehouse is a boutique wedding venue in one of Wagga Wagga’s oldest CBD buildings, on the corner of Fitzmaurice and Kincaid Streets. It is owner-built and owner-run — Chris and Beacie Gestier opened Uneke Lounge as a café in 2009 and created the Warehouse behind it in 2016. The look is raw brick, whitewashed walls, exposed timber trusses and black cross-back chairs: industrial heritage styled with restraint.

Setting & Style

The venue’s defining feature is that it holds both halves of the day. There is a Chapel upstairs for the ceremony — a genuine chapel space with a timber cross, arched trusses and rows of black chairs — and the Warehouse downstairs for the reception, so guests never have to move between venues. A private entrance on Kincaid Street leads to a courtyard with a fireplace and fairy lights, which opens into the bar through bi-fold doors.

Ideal For

Couples who want a city wedding with character rather than a function room, and who like the idea of ceremony, photographs, drinks and dinner all happening in one building. It suits mid-sized weddings: 100 seated or 120 for cocktails, with the venue as a whole rated to 140. Timber tables and cross-back chairs come with the room, so it needs far less styling than a blank space.

The Need-to-Knows

No pricing is published. The venue runs a Request Pricing form and an event coordinator, August Robertson, so cost is a first-conversation question rather than something you can compare online. Catering is flexible — "from relaxed canapés to a more formal three-course meal" — but no menus or dietary information are published either, so both need to be raised directly. Note the contact email is on the unekelounge.com.au domain, which is the same family business.

Standout Feature

The chapel. Very few secular venues have a purpose-arranged ceremony space with its own character — and having it directly above the reception room means the whole wedding lives at one address, in the middle of town, with no cars, no gap and no wet-weather plan required.
