Kondari has been Hervey Bay’s local since 1982, set on Elizabeth Street at Urangan in lush tropical gardens around a natural lagoon. It won the Brides Choice Award for the Fraser Coast in both 2020 and 2021, and publishes its full function pricing — menus, drinks packages and all — in a current 2026 pack.

Setting & Style

There are three ceremony locations across the grounds, with the lagoon, the gardens and the wildlife doing most of the work; one arbour sits on the lawn right at the water’s edge. Two function rooms handle the reception. The Hibiscus Room is the larger, floor-to-ceiling windows and poolside views, private access and amenities, a projector, screen and audio, seating a hundred or holding a hundred and fifty standing. The Pandanus Room is smaller and more characterful — high-set rafters and exposed beams, its own bar and bathrooms, opening onto a sweeping deck over the lagoon, at fifty seated or eighty cocktail. Grassy areas and a deck fill in around them.

Couples who want a tropical garden setting with the whole party staying on site, and who would rather compare published menu prices than wait for a quote.

Accommodation ranges from affordable family and economy rooms to studio kings, semi-self-contained lakeside rooms and two-bedroom self-contained family rooms, with free wi-fi, on-site parking and a swimming pool. The bride and groom receive a complimentary night's stay, and a 10% discount on accommodation applies to all guests - arranged through the hotel's accommodation manager rather than the function booking.

Price Notes

Kondari publishes its full function pricing in a 2026 pack. Canapes are $12 per head for three selections, $18 for five and $25 for eight, with large bites a further $5 per head. Platters each cater to 10-12 people: Traditional $119, Premium $139, Classic $149 each. Alternate drop service comes in two tiers - Gold at $42 for two courses or $52 for three, and Sapphire at $60 for two or $70 for three. Buffet menus are Classic $60 per head or Elegant $75 per head, both with a minimum of 30 people; a children's buffet is $39 per head for ages 4 to 12. A full buffet breakfast is $19 adult and $10 child, served in the bistro daily 7-10am. Tea and coffee is $1.50 per person per day, with biscuits a further $1.00.
Beverage packages are $60 per head for two hours - standard tap beer, house red and white, sparkling, soft drink and juice - or $90 per head for three hours, adding all tap beers and selected spirits. The venue notes it can tailor a drinks package and suggests a budget option of a drink on arrival followed by a cash bar.
