A 160-seat function room built as part of a multi-million-dollar rebuild of the club at Pialba, finished in December 2023. The club describes itself as the ‘Best Little Club in the Bay’ and the function room as “bright and breezy… with spectacular country views”. It is not a resort or a winery — it is a well-run local club that has put a proper wedding room in, and prices itself accordingly.

Setting & Style

The room is roof-to-floor glass on the golf-course side, with an adjoining alfresco deck for guests who want air. It has its own functions kitchen and its own bar, so it runs independently of the bistro. The outlook is the Hervey Bay Golf Club’s 18-hole championship course, which the club incorporates — and, in the venue’s own phrase, “mobs of kangaroos grazing on the greens as your backdrop for family photos”.

Ideal For

Couples who want a private room with a green outlook and a real kitchen behind it, up to about 160 seated, and who care more about value and service than about a destination address.

The Need-to-Knows

Catering is flexible but decorating is on you. The team offers “sit down meals or buffet-style functions” and “basic set-up”, plus “the opportunity to add your own flair with decorations of your choice”. There is no in-house styling package.
The function room is the wedding space — there is no ceremony space advertised. The golf course is next door and the club’s own photographs show couples on the fairway at sunset, but no ceremony site, ceremony fee or garden is offered on the site. Ask.
It is an RSL-affiliated club. The functions email and the general admin address both sit on the herveybayrsl.com.au domain, and the venue trades under its own name and its own website. Expect gaming, TAB, Keno and Fox Sports elsewhere in the building — the function room is separate and private.
A courtesy bus runs, which matters for a wedding with a bar. The club is open 10am to 10pm, seven days.
