Stanley Seaview Inn sits on Green Hills, just outside the town boundary of Stanley on Tasmania’s far north-west coast. It is an unpretentious, family-run country inn rather than a designed wedding venue — the draw is the view. The Nut, the volcanic plug that defines Stanley, fills the windows of the function room, with the township and Bass Strait beyond it.

Receptions are held in the Nut View Room, 10 metres wide by 17 metres long, with a large bay window framing Stanley, The Nut and the surrounding beaches. It has its own private bar and opens onto a deck that shares the same outlook. The room is a plain, well-lit function space that couples dress themselves; the venue’s own photographs show it set with long banquet tables, chair covers and sashes rather than anything built in.
